The Palace-Park Schönow
The Museum in Sosnowiec is Schön's Palace built by a family member as manufacturers of Werdau in Saxony, Ernst. Together with his brother Franz he came to Sosnowiec in 1875. This settlement, which lies on the western borderlands of the Russian Empire, was then an attractive place for foreign investors. The Schön's Palace - seat of the Museum
Proved, representative of Ernst palace erected along the northern end of worsted spinning mill, which was built in 1886. Unfortunately, the author of the project, nor the exact date of construction of the facility are not known. Its shape is selected on the set Sielec (then village) from the years 1884 to 1886, but construction was completed probably only ten years later.
The palace, located on a square plan with towers at three corners represent the neo-baroque style. It has four floors, it covers a mansard roof and towers are onion helmets. Party basement marked stone cladding. The facades richly decorated with stucco, among which predominate oak leaves and fruits monogrammed "S". It also includes panels decorated rocaille'ami and rich garlands.

DEPARTMENT OF GLASS
Exhibits forming a collection of Polish contemporary glass created in the late 70's and 80.tych the last century. They come from active at that time in Poland glassworks economic and crystal. The collection has approx. 5000, and it consists of patterns of soda-lime glass and lead crystal, representing 3/4 of the total harvest and glass art and unique. It is the only such collection in Poland.
