The Museum of Tomorrow has just received the International Award MIPIM in the category "Green Building more innovative".

Marco of the revitalization of the Port Region of Rio de Janeiro, is the first Brazilian museum to receive laurea, one of the most important in the real estate environment. The winners of the 2017 MIPIM Awards are being announced at a ceremony at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Among its differentials, the Museum of Tomorrow has the technology used in capturing solar energy and the use of the cold waters of the bottom of Guanabara Bay in the air conditioning system.
In the category "Green Building Most Innovative", the museum competed with Siemens headquarters in Munich; The 119 Ebury Street residential building in London; And the Värtan Bioenergy plant in Stockholm. Best Innovative Green Building: The breathtaking (Museum of Tomorrow).

Created in 1991, the MIPIM Award is an international competition that selects the most notable projects already built or under construction worldwide.
The awards are held during the MIPIM fair, the largest real estate event in the world. During the MIPIM, participants vote on their favorite project in each category. The vote of the participants represents 50% of the total of the note, and adds to that of the jurors. With 11 categories, the MIPIM Awards 2017 selected projects from 22 countries - with four finalists per category. In 2016, the sustainable guidelines of the Museum of Tomorrow were also recognized with the Gold label of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), granted by the Green Building Council - the main American institution in the seal Of green buildings.
It was the first museum in the country to obtain this recognition at the second highest level of classification - there are four: certificate, silver, gold and platinum.

O Museu do Amanhã acaba de receber o Prêmio Internacional MIPIM na categoria “Edifício verde mais inovador”.
Marco da revitalização da Região Portuária do Rio de Janeiro, é o primeiro museu brasileiro a receber a láurea, uma das mais importantes do meio imobiliário. Os vencedores da edição 2017 do MIPIM Awards estão sendo anunciados em cerimônia no Palácio dos Festivais, em Cannes, na França. Entre seus diferenciais, o Museu do Amanhã tem a tecnologia empregada na captação da energia solar e o uso das águas geladas do fundo da Baía de Guanabara no sistema de ar condicionado.
Na categoria “Edifício verde mais inovador”, o museu concorreu com a sede da Siemens, em Munique; o edifício residencial 119 Ebury Street, em Londres; e a fábrica da Värtan Bioenergy, em Estocolmo. Best Innovative Green Building: the breathtaking (Museum of Tomorrow).

Em 2016, as diretrizes sustentáveis do Museu do Amanhã também foram reconhecidas com o selo Ouro da certificação LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ou Liderança em Energia e Projeto Ambiental, em português), concedida pelo Green Building Council — principal instituição americana na chancela de edificações verdes.
Foi o primeiro museu do país a obter este reconhecimento no segundo mais alto nível de classificação — são quatro: certificado, prata, ouro e platina.
