Bill 215/2017 aims at recognizing a tradition of Italian culture and should be analyzed by the Justice, Tourism and Finance committees.
The Polenta Festival arrives this year at its 39th edition and will be held in October, with the presentation of musical groups and the traditional Tombo da Polenta, in which more than a ton of Italian delicacy is spilled in a giant panel.
The event was held for the first time in 1979 by Father Cleto Caliman. Initially it happened in the courtyard of the Salesian College. Due to the great repercussion it was necessary to change the place. Thus, in 1995, the party happened to be realized in a land acquired by the City hall, denominated Center of Events Father Cleto Caliman.
With free admission, the event is organized by the Polenta Party Association (Afepol) and mobilizes more than a thousand volunteers. Funds raised are distributed to Venda Nova charities.
"The Polenta Party is very important not only because of its social nature but also because it is important to rescue and keep alive the culture of the Italian immigrant who colonized Venda Nova more than 100 years ago," says Representative Jamir Malini in the justification Accompanies the project.
Intangible assets
Cultural goods of immaterial nature include practices that manifest themselves in knowledge, crafts and ways of doing, in addition to various forms of expression, music, and entertainment such as parties, dances and celebrations. According to the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan), immaterial goods registered in Espírito Santo are the craft of the Goiabeiras pans, the capoeira wheel, among others.

In the party will still be mounted a scenographic village that reproduces several regions of Italy, with its houses and gardens. Inside the place is the food court.
Another feature of the party is the production of giant cheese, work of the producers of the Association of Agropecuaristas de Venda Nova (Aagrope) and weighing about a ton.
To make the public feel more and more in Italian culture, the Polenta Festival recreates a typical house of the Ninth, with kitchen, living room and bedroom showing the public the customs of the beginning of colonization.
Folkloric musical groups, such as Ballo Granello Giallo, are also guaranteed presence, as well as the competition to elect the Queen of the Party.

The distance between Venda Nova do Imigrante and the capital Vitória is 113 km. According to the latest IBGE study, the city had 20 thousand inhabitants in 2010.

A Festa da Polenta chega este ano à sua 39ª edição e vai ser realizada em outubro, com a apresentação de grupos musicais e o tradicional Tombo da Polenta, em que mais de uma tonelada da iguaria italiana é entornada em um panelão gigante.
O evento foi realizado pela primeira vez, em 1979, pelo padre Cleto Caliman. Inicialmente aconteceu no pátio do Colégio Salesiano. Devido à grande repercussão foi necessário mudar o local. Desse modo, em 1995, a festa passou ser realizada em um terreno adquirido pela Prefeitura, denominado Centro de Eventos Padre Cleto Caliman.
Com entrada gratuita, o evento é organizado pela Associação Festa da Polenta (Afepol) e mobiliza mais de mil voluntários. Recursos arrecadados são distribuídos a entidades beneficentes de Venda Nova.
“A Festa da Polenta é muito importante não só devido ao seu cunho social, como também importante no sentido de resgatar e manter viva a cultura do imigrante italiano que colonizou Venda Nova há mais de 100 anos”, afirma o deputado Jamir Malini na justificativa que acompanha o projeto.
Patrimônio imaterial
Os bens culturais de natureza imaterial compreendem práticas que se manifestam em saberes, ofícios e modos de fazer, além das várias formas de expressão cênicas, musicais e lúdicas, como festas, danças e celebrações. De acordo com o Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Iphan), são bens imateriais registrados no Espírito Santo o ofício das paneleiras de Goiabeiras, a roda de capoeira, entre outros.

Na festa ainda será montada uma vila cenográfica que reproduz várias regiões da Itália, com seus sobrados e jardins. Dentro do local fica a praça de alimentação.
Outra característica da festa é a produção do queijo gigante, trabalho dos produtores da Associação dos Agropecuaristas de Venda Nova (Aagrope) e que pesa cerca de uma tonelada.
Para fazer o público se sentir cada vez mais na cultura italiana, a Festa da Polenta recria uma típica casa da Nona, com cozinha, sala e quarto mostrando para o público os costumes do início da colonização.
Grupos musicais folclóricos, como o Ballo Granello Giallo, também são presença garantida, bem como o concurso para eleger a Rainha da Festa.
