Nikolay Diulgheroff (Bulgarian, Николай Дюлгеров, Nikolay Dyulgerov, 20 December 1901-9 June 1982) was a Bulgarian designer, architect and artist, who worked primarily in Italy and distinguished himself as a member of the Italian Futurism of the period between the wars (il secondo Futurismo).

Diulgheroff was born in Kyustendil, a city in the western part of the Autonomous Principality of Bulgaria, in 1901. He was the son of a printer between 1920 and 1921. He studied at the University of Applied Arts (Vienna University of Applied Arts) in Vienna, Austria. The following year, in 1922, he studied in Dresden, Germany, and in 1923 he enrolled in the Bauhaus School in Weimar, where he became friends with the Swiss expressionist Johannes Itten. During this stage of studies, Diulgheroff had the opportunity to exhibit his works both in Berlin and in Dresden. In addition, in 1924, the National Museum of Sofia (Bulgaria) organized an exhibition dedicated to Nikolay Diulgheroff and his works.

In 1926, Diulgheroff settled in Turin, Italy, to study architecture at the Albertine Academy of Fine Arts, from which he graduated in 1932. Although he brought with him the tendencies of Central European Constructivism, he soon began to relate to prominent figures in Futurism Italian, such as Fillìa, and that is how he adopted this style.

Diulgheroff created his most notable works in the 1920s and 1930s, and some of them are currently exhibited at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome. However, before they were definitively exhibited in the museum, they had previously been seen in more than forty art galleries from all over Europe, such as Leipzig, Paris, Florence, Mantua and Venice.

The artist also helped Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and Fillia to create so-called futuristic cuisine. In fact, Diulgheroff collaborated in the writing of the Manifesto of Futurist Cuisine (1930), created the dish called pollofiat and designed part of the interior of Taverna Santopalato, the first establishment of futuristic cuisine, and also designed several ads of alcoholic beverages Group Campari.

Diulgheroff remained active almost until the end of his days. He died in Turin in 1982, in the city where he had spent most of his life, for a total of 56 years and of which he was an honorary citizen. Throughout his career, he had won several gold medals in art galleries throughout Italy (Turin, Florence, Salsomaggiore) and some art historians, such as Enrico Crispolti, have qualified him as the greatest artist of the inter-war period.

The project was presented at the Centro Cultural Brasil-Angola by the mentors, architects Suzana Matos and Ângela Mingas, representing the Center for Studies and Scientific Research of Architecture (CEICA) and the Reviver Campaign, respectively, two research, promotion and teaching programs of architectural and cultural heritage through research.

The idea of the project is to tell the city's history through its architecture and spaces and to rescue the past with the realization and promotion of activities on the material and immaterial heritage within the same historic buildings.

The first activity and kick-off of the "Património Vivo" project takes place on December 7, at the premises of the Cultural Center Brazil-Angola (CCBA), classified Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture.
This former building, formerly known as "The Great Hotel of Luanda", built in 1910, will house music concerts, exhibitions of fine arts, photography and gastronomy, dance and documentaries that identify with the times that helped to build the history that led her to such a longing.

Suzana Matos revealed that this opened the period information collections on the history surrounding the actual building of the CCBA, the architect who is responsible for the Center of Studies and Scientific Research Architecture (CEICA), assigned to the Lusíada University of Angola, said the content will allow a detailed view of the past of the building and of the most relevant people residing in it.

The mentor of the project made it known that the idea is to allow society to live the heritage, and the best thing to know is to experience and transform into something accessible, as is currently the case with the CCBA that hosts diverse activities, after having passed for moments of pure degradation until being restructured. "Today is a meeting point, accessible to all." /> Suzana Matos said that the initiative is a simple but significant tribute to the national heritage that is spread all over the country and its historicity is still very unknown by a large majority of Angolans. "The worst is letting him die."

In turn, the architect Ângela Mingas informed that the organization has much material, collected from investigations made in the Reviver Campaign, by national professors, students and researchers, reason why the curatorship has to define the production plan of the works to be presented. The project "Heritage Alive" has semiannual initially quarterly another phase in the long term, and spans other heritage spaces of Luanda, among others, the St Michael's Fortress, the Luanda Railways, the Street of Merchants , the National Museum of Anthropology, and later all over the country.

The São Paulo Pinacoteca is a museum of visual arts with an emphasis on Brazilian production from the nineteenth century to the present day, in 2018, featuring women artists.

The first abstract painting was not signed by Kandinski (1866-1944), considered by historians as the pioneer in the area, but by a woman, the Swedish Hilma Klint (1862-1944), of which few have heard.

image
Work of the artist Hilma Klint (1862-1944), one of the women to gain exhibitions and retrospectives in the 2018 program of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo

From next year, many will have reasons to cite its name in Brazil: the State Pinacoteca promotes in 2018 a great retrospective of the painter who, at the turn of the 19th century to the 20th, signed non-figurative compositions long before Kandinski, Mondrian and Malevitch. Hilma is the main star of a constellation of women who occupy the Pinacoteca next year.

Among the programmed exhibits, revealed by the director of the Pinacoteca, Jochen Volz, is the international exhibition Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985 ', organized by the Hammer Museum of Los Angeles (Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985) , which passes through the Brooklin Museum in New York before disembarking in São Paulo.

Still at the end of 2018, in December, another great artist, the Paulistana, Paulina, will be honored with an individual show. Before, in August, Valeska Soares won her first institutional individual in the country since 2004, within the career review program of active artists since the 1980s.
-
Two other women artists will occupy with facilities the Octagon of the Pinacoteca in Luz, the paulistana Ana Luiza D. Batista and the miner Laura Lima with a specific site. Laura has been growing in the international circuit. It is one of the best works presented in the Triennial of Aichi, Japan, in 2016.

Anyway, 2018 will be the year of the women in the Pinacoteca, although great men artists also integrate programming. In March, for example, Tunga, who died a year ago in June 2016, will be remembered with one of his most enigmatic works, "Trinity Trinity1 (2001), which, as the title suggests, is an interpretation of the Christian trinity, sculpture made of iron, ferrite and wool, dominated by bells that allude to the readings of St. Augustine by the sculptor.

Another name of greatness among contemporaries, Emmanuel Nassar of Pará wins in April a retrospective at Pina Estação, next to Sala São Paulo. Nassar became known for references to popular culture in his painting, evoking the vibrant colors of the stalls and geometric shapes of the homes of his native land. Another reference adopted by Nassar is the flag, which he uses as a pretext for painting (he appropriated the 143 flags of the municipalities of Pará). Also in the Pina Estação is the show "Myth of Origin", which starts with a work by the German Lothar Baumgarten, to address fictions around the ground zero of life on the planet.

There is much more. However, the most anticipated exhibition is even from Sweden's Hilma Klint, an artist beyond her time. Friend of Expressionist Edvard Munch, Hilma went the other way. And he paid dearly for it, being absent from the historic canon. In part, by the artist's own decision. According to Volz, shortly before his death in 1944, he asked that his work not be seen for 20 years.

The Pinacoteca of the State of São Paulo is one of the most important museums of art of Brazil. It occupies a building in Jardim da Luz, in the center of São Paulo, designed by Ramos de Azevedo and Domiziano ...

It was installed in the old building of the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios, designed at the end of the 19th century by the architect Ramos de Azevedo's office, which later underwent an extensive renovation with a project by the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha in the late 1990s.

The original collection of the Pinacoteca was formed with the transfer of 20 works of the Paulista Museum of the University of São Paulo from important artists of the city such as Almeida Júnior, Pedro Alexandrino, Antônio Parreiras and Oscar Pereira da Silva. Over the years it has formed a significant collection, with almost 10 thousand works.

Since 2006 the Pinacoteca is administered by the Pinacoteca Art and Culture Association. It currently holds about 30 exhibitions and receives approximately 500 thousand visitors per year.

Laura vem crescendo no circuito internacional.
